Ben Miller is the Technology/Automation Resource Prosecutor (TARP). The TARP Program has been created to give assistance to prosecutors' offices with any Case Management System issues, criminal history reporting, PA Transfer, and general technical questions. The program is funded through a grant from the National Criminal History Improvement Program in cooperation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The TARP Program provides training, resources, help desk assistance, and strategic planning for automation to county prosecutors and support staff statewide. Ben will be conducting regular webinars on topics ranging from Karpel issues to fileless office planning.
The TARP Program also assists the county offices with criminal history improvement efforts through the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) and the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES).
Pursuant to Section 43.503, for the purpose of maintaining complete and accurate criminal history record information, all police officers of this state, the clerk of each court, the department of corrections, the sheriff of each county, the chief law enforcement official of a city not within a county and the prosecuting attorney of each county or the circuit attorney of a city not within a county shall submit certain criminal arrest, charge, and disposition information to the central repository for filing without undue delay in the form and manner required by sections 43.500 to 43.543.
